Watch Ads for CS:GO Skins: A Closer Look
We all want to have that sweet, sweet AWP | Dragon Lore (Factory New), a shiny M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web with the perfect, harmonious web pattern and no scratches or the legendary M4A4 | Howl. However, they cost a lot, don’t they? And what if I told you, that you can get them for free? Would you believe me?
Watch Ads for CSGO skins – Explained
For the past few years, you can find questions on forums and chat groups or just advertisements of portals and websites that allegedly offer you free CSGO skins. These websites give you the opportunity to watch ads for CSGO skins. In detail, they usually have some sort of inside currency, points, gems, credits, or coins (for convenience, I will call them simply points), that you can get by performing certain actions. Some offer you points for installing mobile apps and registering accounts. Some for spending time in an app, on a website or watching a movie. Others give you an option to watch ads for CSGO skins.
They also usually give you the whole roster of amazing, high-value and top-rarity skins that, theoretically, you will be able to get “for free” if you gather enough points. Among all skins they always have the five following legendary skins.
AK-47 | Fire Serpent
This legendary AK47 skin coming from Operation Bravo Case is probably a single most expensive AK47 skin in history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It is a beautiful piece of design, with a fire serpent motif with some blueish clouds on the magazine. The rest of the skin is based on the default, vanilla AK-47 which gives it quite an original, uncommon look.
The price is even more uncommon. A normal version of this assault rifle is available between $250 and $350 with Factory New being worth around $1200. StatTrak-equipped versions are much more expensive. That is if you even manage to find one. No one has seen a Factory New for some time. The lower wear levels are available for grabs between $600 and $1200. This would suggest a Factory New StatTrak version could easily go over $2000 in value.
M4A4 | Howl
The unique M4A4 | Howl, one of its kind, no longer droppable and removed from its original case. This fruit of scandal around rights to an image on the internet was extremely important for the development of the skins economy. Being removed from its case and no longer droppable, but still remaining in the Steam inventory of anyone lucky enough to drop it, it rose in price tenfold during one night. It showed the business potential lying dormant in skin trading.
If you manage to find one on the market it is usually worth around $1800 and more. That’s how unique M4A4 | Howl is and how precious it is for veteran traders and skins collectors. And now, you can get it for free. Just watch ads for CSGO skins…
AWP | Dragon Lore
Another legendary skin, this time more widespread then M4A4 | Howl. Still, it is very rare and selling one in a good condition can cover your monthly expenses with rent included. In fact, this beautiful piece of craftsmanship and a work of art is historically the most expensive skin ever traded. At least officially, and it was a very special piece of a Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore (Factory New) with stickers from Boston Major 2018. The said stickers were the champion team, Cloud9, as well as the MVP of the whole tournament – Skadoodle. That particular piece of AWP | Dragon Lore is said to be bought for over $60,000 sometime right after the Boston Major. Well, that’s a lot of money to be made. However, even taking into consideration a normal Dragon Lore, it costs around $1500 to $2000. To earn that kind of money from watching ads for CSGO skins is simply unimaginable.
M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web
Crimson Web is a series of very rare CSGO skins sought after almost any collector and player. Among this very rare and expensive collection, M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web is still one of the most expensive skins. Although the normal version, if found, can cost from a very affordable $300 up to $1000, StatTrak can reach $2000. Moreover, the price isn’t only related to the wear level itself, but rather to the combination of wear and web pattern. Each version of a Crimson Web has its own unique web pattern and the more clean and symmetrical the pattern is, the higher is the price.
Five-SeveN | Hyper Beast
One of the most stylish and rare pistols in the game. Well, at this point you most likely caught my drift. A beautiful, savage and interesting, yet colorful and vivid. The normal version is very cheap – only $15 up to $70. However, the StatTrak Factory New can sometimes reach $500. Less then all the others, I know, but still to get such skin from watching ads is hard to imagine.
Where can you watch ads for CSGO skins? Should you consider watching ads for CSGO skins?
There is a lot of different websites and portals, yet rarely any of these offer boards get whitelisted by any of the CSGO skins trading hubs. That means that the serious traders either don’t consider it a proper and efficient way of getting the skins or the websites are a hoax. And, in many cases, they are to some extent. First of all, there are some websites that are there only to steal your valuable data and login credentials. There are also those that will never give you your precious high-tier item and you will have to be satisfied with some cheap skin. There are also those that have too high prices for the top skins and you will never reach the required amount of points. Just google “CSGO skins watch ads” and see what type of websites you can find in the results.
At this point, you probably know why I think about such websites. There are other, more efficient, faster and sure ways to obtain items than to watch ads for CSGO skins. You can play for random drops and trade your way up to high-tier skins. At this point, you could just get a part-time job and just save your money. Everything is more efficient than to try and earn CSGO skins for watching ads.
Selling CSGO skins earned by watching ads
In case you got a skin you want to cash out, there are different ways you can approach it. Firstly, you can sell your skins at Steam Community Market. Everything is automated, fast and very secure. However, your money will remain in Steam Wallet and you will be able to only use it when buying games or other skins inside the Steam environment. No paying out.
Secondly, you can go to the third-party markets and trading hubs. They offer lower prices, but the money can be paid out in more than one way. However, the whole transaction, especially in the case of rare and expensive items may take a while. You also need to look out for scammers and thieves.
Lastly, if you have an expensive item and you need to cash it out ASAP, Skinwallet may be the best choice. We have the highest prices when it comes to instant systems and is 100% secure as long as you follow the security regulations.
Although it is theoretically possible to get free skins by watching ads for CSGO skins, it is inadvisable. Many of the websites will scam you and some will try to hack you. Moreover, nothing is free: when you watch ads for CSGO skins you pay with your time. Time, that could be spent playing CSGO instead.
