Today we will focus on the rarest and most elusive knives in CSGO. They don’t need to be the most expensive skins, but they surely are exclusive with how rare they are. We will also try to find the answer to the question: what is the rarest knife in CSGO?

Knives in CSGO are expensive, extremely rare, and look gorgeous. Everything about them says “exclusive”. However, even among already expensive and rare items, there are specimens even more elusive. We’re talking about the types of items that are available in single-digit numbers but cost easily over $1000. We will take a look at some of the CSGO knives that are good pretenders to the title of the rarest CSGO knife.
We picked five knives that, in our opinion, fit the category of CSGO rare knife. Please, remember that we will always talk about Factory New wear level for the convenience sake.
Karambit | Doppler Black Pearl
One of the sexiest knife finishes there is! The Black Pearl looks awesome on any knife model you can imagine, however it is one of the rarest if not the rarest knife in CSGO when considering Karambit skins. Well, maybe beside Karambit | Urban Masked. Still, if you want to rock this baby, you will be looking at the prices beginning around $1500 with Factory New reaching $5000. Still, there are only a few know pieces in existence, so if you have one you are one of the chosen few.
StatTrak M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web
One of the most famous CSGO knives in the trading community, but also outside the CSGO community. Yes, it really was sold for $24,000 back in the early days of CSGO skin trading. The price is more stable now, with Factory New wear placed between $2500 up to $4000. However, it still doesn’t make it any less elusive. In the end, StatTrak M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web may be the rarest knife in CSGO.
Karambit | Case Hardened Blue Gem
Case Hardened skins are honestly weird, as the price (and rarity) depends on the version of the pattern in which they are generated. Over the years, skins collectors were hunting for perfectly blue specimens of the Case Hardened collection. For example, a particular float of the AK-47 | Case Hardened was sold to an anonymous buyer in Chine for $25,000. There is one piece, only one, of Karambit | Case Hardened that has a completely blue play side (the side of the knife that you see during the game). Considering how much the AK-47 was worth, this baby may reach up to $50,000 in value. Of course, the final price may differ, but that is how some of the veteran skin traders evaluated it. Also, being the only one of its kind in the whole CSGO, it is CSGO rarest knife.
StatTrak Butterfly Knife | Crimson Web
Another member of the Crimson Web family combines the awesome looks of the Butterfly knife with rare and expensive Crimson Web. This baby can reach up to $5000 which isn’t really that weird, considering they may be less than 5 of these in existence. Of course, we are talking about Factory New wear level, because higher float numbers tend to reach between $500 and $1000 which is much more achievable. However, even considering all wear levels and variants, StatTrak Butterfly Knife | Crimson Web is a good pretender to the title of CSGO the rarest knife.
Karambit | Urban Masked
In general, when people think about expensive and rare knives, karambit comes to mind. However, this piece of equipment is probably a CSGO rarest knife when it comes to the karambit model. Although the demand for the Urban Masked finish is not as high as Crimson Web or Case Hardened, that doesn’t mean it is not rare. Factory New should cost around $1000 and up. I don’t believe anyone seen a StatTrak Factory New version of this knife but it would be probably the rarest knife in CSGO and its price would surely go into 5 digits.
What made the Rarest Knife in Csgo so rare?
There are a few factors, that when combined can create the rarest knife in CSGO. First of all, is the grade status of knives in CSGO per se. Every knife, no matter the price, model or finish, is tagged by Valve as the exceedingly rare item. This is normally signaled by the star attached to the skin name. We also have to consider the distribution of the wear levels, which normally, in case of 5 wear levels, take the form of a bell curve with Factory New and Battle-Scarred as the extremes. Then, there’s the chance you ever get the skin from the weapon case and the 10% chance for it to be a StatTrak version. In this context, the odds to open up the case and receive a StatTrak knife are extremely low. Add to that the very low possibility of it being a Factory New knife and you have all ingredients necessary to create the rarest knife in CSGO. We can go even more extreme. Just like in case of Karambit | Case Hardened Blue Gem we will be looking into a very specific float number and version of that skin. I don’t really think you can go any more elusive than that.
How much does the Rarest Knife in CSGO cost?
Surely not lower than $1000. However, it may be quite hard to get good pricing, as there isn’t really that much historical data to go with. Therefore, the seller and the buyer have to set a price somehow in relation to how rare it is, what type of pattern is present (in case of Crimson Web or Case Hardened) and how much do they value the item itself. In extreme cases, it is said to reach $50,000 in value, although it might not be the actual price of a transaction.
Do people really buy this knife?
They do, although very rarely. Mind that, the prices are big enough for the mainstream media to be interested. For some collectors having the rarest knife in CSGO is worth every cent they will have to pay for it. For some, this is a good way to invest in luxury goods – think gold or silver. Others treat CSGO skins as a type of cryptocurrency.
Is it worth to get them?
If you have the money to spend and are sure that you want to have the rarest, then you most likely think it is worth to get such a knife. Therefore, I can say nothing to make you think otherwise. However, if you have any doubts, then these skins aren’t probably for you. I mean, it is nice to have them but they won’t make you better at the game and they may be much harder to sell from the investment perspective.
