A Short 2020 Guide to Glock Skins in CS:GO

Today we won’t be talking about big guns for big boys. Nor about expensive stuff such as CSGO knives and AWPs. Today we’ll talk about the most basic pea-shooter on Terrorist side – the Glock-18 and its skins.
Glock Skins – Explained 2020
Glock-18 is the starting, default pistol for Terrorist side. Although in-game this Austrian sidearm is called Glock-18, its design and, most importantly, the ability to burst-fire makes it more akin to Glock-26. Mechanically, Glock-18 is a second of the only two weapons having the ability to burst-fire, the other being FAMAS.
Damagewise, Glock is very weak, but can still one-shot kill an unarmored enemy with a headshot. Taking into consideration its massive magazine of 20 shots, Glock enables the T side to proficiently rush down the players on the CT side and win the pistol round and the first eco round.
From the CSGO skin trading perspective Glock skins are rather cheap and common with some individual exceptions. However, to better represent CSGO Glock skins, in general, we decided to focus on skins from a few different price ranges.
Glock-18 | Wasteland Rebel
Added to the CSGO as a part of The Gamma Collection back in 2016, Glock-18 | Wasteland Rebel is the only Glock skin of the covert rarity grade. However, despite that feature, Wasteland Rebel is neither the rarest nor the most expensive Glock skin – this title most likely belongs to Glock-18 | Fade. Wasteland Reble, on the other hand, rarely goes higher than $70 for StatTrak and as low as $8 for the normal version.
Wasteland Rebel is available in all wear qualities as well as both StatTrak and normal versions. From the design perspective, it gives off an anarchist and misfit vibe with its “Kill Them All” sprayed on the whole piece. You can drop if from the Gamma Case.
Glock-18 | Water Elemental
One of the few Classified Glock Skins CSGO currently has to offer, Water Elemental is a simple red base with a painted water creature, the Water Elemental from its name, on the whole model. It’s available in all versions and wear levels and can be dropped from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case. Pricewise, the normal version costs between $3-$10, whereas StatTrak equipped Glock-18 | Water Elemental costs between $10 and $45. With its vivid colors and huge contrast between the base and the water creature, it is one of the easiest Glock CSGO skins to recognize in the hands of another player. It also looks very nice at the higher wear floats when the red base starts to wear off showing the black default model color beneath.
Glock-18 | Twilight Galaxy
The very minimalistic design of Twilight Galaxy is comprised of just the top part being painted with metal flake paint giving off a galactic vibe. The rest of the weapon is vanilla dark and I have to say, it looks charming. However, it is not a skin for people looking for something vivid, bright or just crazy.
It is available in three top wear levels (Factory New, Minimal Wear, and Field-Tested) with very slight differences between floats and quite minuscule differences between prices. You can get one for $10 up to $15. Unfortunately, it has no StatTrak equipped models.
Glock-18 | Moonrise
If you are into synthwave and pixel graphics, Glock-18 | Moonrise is perfect for you. It rocks a city landscape with a huge, bright full moon rising over a purple night sky. If this is one of the Glock skins you dig, I have more good news – it is dirt cheap. The normal version is available for less than $2. If you’d like to rock a StatTrak tech equipped, we’re looking at up to $10 in case of Factory New wear quality level.
Glock-18 | Weasel
Glock-18 | Weasel will bring happiness to all fans of these furry animals. However, do not forget that weasels, other than being cute and furry, can be sometimes very tenacious and persistent. Just like an expert player with Glock-18 against AKs. The odds are not in his favor but do not forget Glock also kills.
Pricewise, it’s under $2 for normal version and around $5 for StatTrak, except Factory New that may sometimes reach $15 or even $20.
Where can you get Glock skins?
Every of the Glock CSGO skins we talked about comes from a different CSGO case. Wasteland Rebel can be rarely dropped from Gamma Case, Water Elemental Glock skin is found in the Operation Breakout Weapon Case, Twilight Galaxy doesn’t come from any cases and was introduced as a random drop through The Chop Shop Collection, Moonrise can be found in Clutch Case and Weasel is a part of Gamma 2 Case.
In general, the prices of these Glock skins do not justify buying both cases and keys and trying to drop one of these weapon skins in such a way. However, if you just have some of the cases and keys lying around, you may try your luck, especially with Clutch case. If you’re very lucky, you may drop one of the glove CSGO skin which will most likely pay off all expenses.
Buying and selling Glock skins
When it comes to buying CS GO Glock skins, you have two main options. You can either go for the Steam Community Market or one of the third-party websites. The differences between the two are as follows: Steam has high prices, buyer’s transaction fee, and high security whereas third-party CSGO trading markets offer lower prices, lower fees but are usually less protected. However, Skinwallet Market allows you to browse and buy Glock-18 skins in a scam-proof procedure.
Now, when it is about selling the unwanted Glock CSGO skins, you can go either with Steam Community Market, third-party websites or Skinwallet. Just remember that all money you will earn through the Community Market will stay in your Steam Wallet and will be unusable for things other than buying new games, new skins or stickers/gift cards. The third-party markets will be still plagued with scammers and frauds. The good thing is that you will get your money paid out in no time, however, it may take a while to sell the Glock skin you want to sell. Of course, the price may be lower than what you can get by listing the Glock skins yourself, but you will get the money in a few minutes.
Ultimately, the choice is yours and should depend on what you really need. Do you want to be secure and have no need for the money outside a closed environment? Do you want to squeeze as much money as possible from your CSGO Glock skins? Do you need money right here, right now?
Why are Glock skins so popular?
Glock skins, despite being so cheap are very popular. We think that there are two factors to that. Firstly, every match starts with terrorists having only Glocks. That means you will look at it A LOT. Why not make it more cool and pleasant? The second factor is the high drop rate and low price. If almost every Glock can be gained for $5 or less, why not pick the one you’d like? Or three and rotate?
